Cyber Security expert John-Erik Horn joins BDO Germany as new COO of the Digital Business Unit

During the past 20 years in the IT and Cyber Security sectors John-Erik Horn (48) has been a founder, held corporate leadership positions, and is a recognized expert. His most recent position was a three-year tenure at PwC. As a director in the field of Cyber Security he built a team of 25 consulting experts in the Munich office. Prior to that role he held several positions during a seven-year tenure at MediaMarktSaturn, Europe’s largest electronics retailer. During that time, he worked two years in Shanghai, where he held the position of Director for IT infrastructure as well as IT procurement. In further positions at T-Systems, in a startup, and in consulting he designed several online platforms and executed IT security projects at medium-size enterprises.

John-Erik Horn on his reasons for joining BDO: „I’m excited to find the startup spirit in the relatively young companies DIGITAL and Cyber Security combined with the long history, respectability, and broad offering of BDO. In addition to the commissioning of the Security Operations Center, further offerings have been established including managed services for Microsoft Azure tenants and M365 corporate clients as well as Enterprise Content Management.

In addition to John-Erik Horn, the management team at BDO DIGITAL and BDO Cyber Security also includes another managing director: Andreas Stemick, who joined BDO in 2016 is responsible for sales. Mr. Horn is responsible for controlling and delivery, and also carries the disciplinary responsibility for more than 100 staff.
