An interdisciplinary team from BDO AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft and BDO Legal Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH provided comprehensive support to Westfalen Weser Energie GmbH & Co. KG (WWE) in acquiring a 50% stake in LSF Energy GmbH & Co. KG. LSF Energy, based in Lippstadt, specialises in the development and operation of wind power plants and is therefore an ideal complement to WWE's strategic goals in the field of renewable energies.
As part of this transaction, BDO advised Westfalen Weser Energie throughout the entire M&A process. This included a comprehensive financial, legal and tax due diligence as well as support in structuring the transaction and contract negotiations. The technical due diligence was carried out by Deutsche WindGuard GmbH, based in Varel. In the course of this cooperation, a comprehensive wind power project will be initiated.
