Globally, the number of mergers and acquisitions in the media sector increased by almost a third in 2021. The total value, marked by some mega-mergers, increased by 127 % compared to the previous year. At the same time, the average volume of the deals also changed - it doubled. This picture reflects the dynamics in the industry and shows the profound challenges facing the media industry worldwide.
