BDO advises Georg Fischer B.V. & Co. KG on the acquisition of Symmedia GmbH

A mutli-disciplinary team of BDO AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft and BDO Legal Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH led by Lars Günther, Jan Odewald (BDO AG, Düsseldorf) and Thorsten Schumacher (BDO Legal, Düsseldorf) has advised Singen-based Georg Fischer B.V. & Co. KG on the acquisition of all shares in Symmedia GmbH, based in Bielefeld. The shares were sold by Gundlach Holding GmbH & Co. KG and Dr. August Oetker KG as well as certain private individuals, including, amongst others, members of the management of Symmedia GmbH.

Symmedia GmbH has been developing service solutions for mechanical engineering since 1997. The software symmedia SP / 1 is used as the ‘Internet of machines’ in over 100 countries. Leading machine manufacturers and operators use symmedia SP / 1 as a comfortable service portal: remote service, parts, maintenance and monitoring are proactively offered directly at the machine. Key figures on service organization performance, plant availability, productivity and OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) are available to the management mobile everywhere.
