BDO advises investment company Active Capital Company on their €4.5 million investment in SCHUMAG AG

Active Capital Company (ACC) becomes major shareholder of SCHUMAG AG (SCHUMAG). At the end of November 2023, ACC acquired shares worth EUR 4.5 million in SCHUMAG AG, Aachen, as part of a capital increase. With the purchase of additional shares worth EUR 0.8 million, ACC will in future hold 37.3 per cent of the shares and thus be the largest shareholder in a consortium that aims to get the long-established manufacturer of German precision technology back on track.

SCHUMAG is a listed company with around 450 employees whose precision products are "Made in Germany" and exported worldwide. SCHUMAG uses a wide range of manufacturing processes on a production area of around 39,500 square metres and fulfils customer requirements quickly and reliably with the help of over 360 machines. Investors from Aachen and Eupen have held the majority of shares since 2018.

ACC is an independent private equity company that invests in small and medium-sized companies with a turnover of between 10 and 100 million euros in the industrial, technical wholesale and business services sectors. Compared to other investment companies, ACC is characterised by an active entrepreneurial approach. This means that ACC supports the management of the invested companies in the realisation of value-enhancing projects and offers access to its extensive partner network.
