BDO advises AcadeMedia GmbH on acquisition of School International

A transaction advisory team from BDO led by Frank Scholl and Martin Studier (Deal Advisory) and Dr Michael Brauer (Transaction Tax), together with BDO Legal Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH as legal cooperation partner, advised AcadeMedia Education GmbH (AcadeMedia) on the acquisition of School International. BDO was responsible for the financial and tax due diligence, while BDO Legal Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH, led by Dr Konstantin Michelsen, was responsible for the legal due diligence and legal transaction advisory services.

School International consists of the non-profit company Internationale Schulen Potsdam GmbH, the non-profit company Kreativ Campus Potsdam GmbH and the non-profit company Kreative Schulgesellschaft Thüringen GmbH. School International offers students an innovative and international education with a focus on a creative, interactive and supportive learning environment. Through a variety of educational programmes and activities, School International promotes the individual development and strengthening of students' personalities.

As part of the transaction, AcadeMedia Education GmbH will support the strategic development of School International and use its expertise in the education sector to further expand the schools' offerings and reach.
