BDO advised TÜV NORD, an internationally active testing, certification and training service provider, on the acquisition of the EPI Group. The EPI Group is one of the largest providers of audit, certification and training services for data centres worldwide. With this strategic acquisition, TÜV NORD aims to strengthen its position in the dynamically growing market for digital infrastructure.
TÜV NORD was supported by a multidisciplinary transaction team from BDO AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft, led by partners Jan Odewald and Dr Michael Brauer, in particular with financial and tax due diligence and tax SPA advice. In addition, international teams from BDO in Singapore, Malaysia and the Netherlands were involved in the transaction.
The EPI Group has locations worldwide, for example in the Asia-Pacific region, South America, the USA and Canada, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. It also has a network of resellers, audit and training partners in 60 countries around the world. The group is distinguished by its in-depth expertise in auditing and certifying data centre infrastructures in accordance with international standards.
