Auditing in the healthcare sector

We audit more than 250 healthcare industry institutions, from public-sector companies through to church-owned and free non-profit institutions to listed hospital groups. Accounting in line with HGB and KHBV as well as IFRS is a matter of course for us. Through our presence in the IDW’s Krankenhausfachausschuss (expert committee on hospitals), we ourselves define standards; we are thus always well informed of the latest accounting-related topics.

Our audit approach focuses on the unique challenges of the healthcare industry. This is supported by specially designed tools, which are continuously adapted and updated to reflect the changing legal framework. Our aim is for each member of the audit team to be familiar with the specific characteristics of the sector. Our auditors in the healthcare industry undergo a multiyear training programme in which they are qualified for auditing in the healthcare industry.
