The leading German operator of hospitals Asklepios and RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG join forces. Asklepios as well as the founder of RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG Eugen Münch will contribute their respective shares in RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG to establish a joint venture company which will hold a 50+% shareholding in RHÖN-KLINIKUM AG. In addition, Asklepios announced a voluntary tender offer of EUR 18 per share addressed to the shareholders of RHÖN-KLINIKUM.

The transaction will drive the future collaboration of two leading hospital operators in Germany, just following the market leader Fresenius Helios. The transaction is subject to an antitrust approval and is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2020.
