The Executive Board of BDO AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft has adopted a Code of Conduct that applies equally to all BDO employees in Germany. This Code of Conduct is the guideline for our daily actions and clarifies the ethical and moral standards to which we orient ourselves.

Corporate Health

For us at BDO, health and well-being are the foundation of our shared success and the personal success of each individual. We want every employee to be able to develop to their full potential right from the start. That is why we have established various corporate health prevention measures and support services at BDO. These promote both mental and physical health and can be taken up by all our employees at any time.

Healthy leadership

At BDO, we believe that a healthy management and corporate culture is of great importance. That is why we also offer seminars in which our managers learn how best to deal with stressful situations in day-to-day business and how to establish the most trusting contact possible with employees.This helps managers - and, of course, all colleagues.

Mental health

Mental health is important - especially when things can get stressful at work. That's why we at BDO have a range of offers: In difficult situations, for example, our colleagues can seek help from external counselors - anonymously if they wish. Whether it's a confidential exchange with a psychologist or support with everyday issues - from specialist appointments to childcare - our employees and their family members have access to experts around the clock via telephone, chat and video conference.

Physical fitness

Physical exercise is also important to stay fit and healthy. That's why various offices regularly organize joint sports events. In addition, we have a partnership with a nationwide fitness cooperation that allows all our employees to do sports on their own at very reasonable prices. It allows them to train at their favorite fitness studios in their city and try out everything from Pilates and climbing to swimming and strength training as often as they like. And if they wish, they can also take a family member with them at a reduced rate.

Declaration of principles on respect for human rights in the supply chain

At BDO, we select our own suppliers very carefully and include issues of respect for human rights and environmental protection in the supply chain. All BDO suppliers must fulfil high standards in terms of legal compliance and safety as well as in terms of quality and ethical and moral principles. Our policy statement on respect for human rights precisely highlights this aspect of our corporate policy.

At BDO, we are convinced that education, science and research are the key to a successful future. The foundations for the positive development of our country are laid here, both socially and politically as well as in terms of the economy. We are therefore committed to education, science and research in a variety of ways.

Environmental Bonus

BDO has received a financial grant as part of the "Promotion of Sales of Electrically Powered Vehicles" (Environmental Bonus). This was financed by the European Union – NextGenerationEU with the support of the German Recovery and Resilience Plan (DARP).
