BDO advises on the sale of a majority stake in the Neumann Group
BDO provided comprehensive advice to the existing shareholders of Germany-based Neumann Group on the sale of a majority stake to UK infrastructure investor Igneo Infrastructure Partners. BDO was responsible for preparing a Financial Factbook, a Tax Factbook, a Technical Factbook and an integrated financial model. In addition, BDO’s multidisciplinary team supported the Neumann Group on operational, financial and tax matters throughout the sale process.
Headquartered in Burg, Germany, Neumann Group is one of Europe’s leading providers of IBA (Incinerated Bottom Ash) recycling, providing essential services to Energy-from-Waste operators, whose facilities rely on the continuous removal and treatment of IBA. Through its fully integrated platform, Neumann Group processes around 1.5 million tonnes of residual ash annually, recovering valuable raw materials and high-quality secondary construction materials.
The transaction is expected to complete in the second half of 2026.
